What do I need for a private skydive from a chartered plane in England?

In aid of charity... and a damn good time =P I want to get people to sponsor me to skydive to next year’s prom, and land in the hotel grounds by parachute... I am about to book the training course, and have a plane chartered, but I am unsure if I need to ask for a license or if I have to have insurance to comply with English law. Or most importantly where to hire a parachute =P anyone out there have any ideas? Well as to my first answer the venue is a hotel in the middle of the country side surrounded by fields and backing on to a very large golf course. As to intructors by the time I finish the course I will have done around 20 jumps, all of them solo, and what use is an instructor once your out of the plane? If all jumps are solo the first is as good as the last. Instructor won't be able to do anything if I'm plumiting to the ground =P this jump wouldnt be any diffrent than the other 20, just a diffrent field

  1. I think you will have to revise your plans. The instructor at the training course will advise you regarding what you need but I think you would have to have plenty of experience before he would allow to to jump into a possibly crowded area. Besides killing yourself, you would probably injure others..........
